QIMR Berghofer Art Union Terms and Conditions

Assuming all tickets are sold; 1 ticket has a 1 in 6,500 chance of winning the Grand Prize.

The following people are prohibited from purchasing a ticket:

• QIMR Berghofer Board members and their family members residing at the same address,
• Managers and their family members residing at the same address,
• Ticket fulfilment staff including employees associated with the art union and their family members residing at the same address.
• People below 18 years of age.

GENU INVOLVEMENT: genU has been engaged under a service consultancy agreement to help facilitate the Art Union. This includes processing ticket sales and providing administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth running of the lottery.

Ticket purchasers cannot purchase a ticket under another name, or for a minor. There is no limit on how many tickets a participant may purchase.

QIMR Berghofer reserves the right in its sole discretion to refuse a purchase from anyone not acting in QIMR Berghofer’s best interest, without notice or explanation.

A valid ticket holder is eligible to participate in the Art Union and win a prize in accordance with these terms and conditions. By purchasing a ticket online, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Winners are responsible for claiming their prize. Prizes awarded may not be exactly as advertised. All prize winners will be notified in writing and by phone. Where QIMR Berghofer is unable to contact a winner or any prize remains unclaimed, the requirements of the applicable state legislation will be followed.

The total retail value of the prize pool is $65,000

The maximum number of tickets in the draw is 6,500. All tickets are $50.

Refunds cannot be issued after the prize draws have begun. In accordance with Australian consumer law, QIMR Berghofer is not obligated to provide a refund for any ‘change of heart’ decisions related to the purchase of a ticket.

The draw results and records held by QIMR Berghofer shall be deemed correct and final. QIMR Berghofer accepts no responsibility for any entries not received for any reason during the art union period. No responsibility will be taken for lost, late or misdirected entries. All information contained in entries is the property of QIMR Berghofer.

Overseas non-Australian citizens or residents must check in their own country that there are no restrictions on them purchasing a ticket in the draw.

GRAND PRIZE:

The Grand Prize winner will have the option to accept an Audi Q3 35 TFSI or $65,000 in cash. The Grand Prize winner will be given 48 hours from the time of notification to make their decision.

If the Grand Prize winner elects to take the Audi Q3 35 TFSI, arrangements between the Prize Supplier and the Grand Prize winner will commence immediately to order and arrange delivery of the prize. Delivery of the vehicle may take over 12 months, depending on stock availability. This prize includes all on-road costs, excluding motor vehicle insurance. The vehicle will be available for collection at an authorized dealership located in a major city within the Grand Prize winner’s state.

If the Grand Prize winner chooses to take the $65,000 cash, a bank deposit or bank cheque will be made out to the ticket name holder. This will be received within a maximum of 20 business days after an identification check has been completed and verified by an QIMR Berghofer representative.

GRAND PRIZE DRAW: Friday, 19 December 2025

All tickets purchased before the final ticket sales close at midnight AWST, Wednesday, 17 December 2025 are eligible to win the Grand Prize.

The draw will be conducted using a transparent, tamper-proof manual barrel under strict supervision, with all eligible ticket numbers verified and included, the draw process recorded and independently audited to ensure fairness, compliance, and transparency, in line with state regulations.

All winners will be published on qimrbartunion.com.au within 48 hours of all draws being completed.
